Our Story
Nishi Poke & Ramen Bistro was born from a love of two distinct Japanese food traditions — the vibrant, fresh-off-the-dock energy of Hawaiian poke culture, and the deeply meditative craft of Japanese ramen-making.
What started as a neighborhood favorite in West LA has grown into two beloved locations, each with its own personality and menu. Whether you're grabbing a quick poke bowl for lunch or settling in for a bowl of Tonkotsu that's been brewing for 24 hours, you're always getting food made with intention.

The service, food and atmosphere here are amazing. Ample parking even during lunch hour. The poke was fresh and they give you plenty of toppings! Although the bowl was plenty of food, I saw the musubi on the menu and also had to grab that! It was favorable and the spam very well cooked and crunchy — whoever thought that was possible??!? If you are looking for a nice lunch to remind you of a trip to Hawaii/Japan they have great offerings and good vibes.

The best vegetarian ramen. Delicious creamy yet vegan broth. Crisp grilled veggies in it. Yummy. They also do poke bowls with a little bar where you choose what goes in the bowl.

I wasn't expecting much from a poke spot in a strip mall, but this place surprised me. The fish was super fresh, and they give you lots of mix-ins without extra charges. I also tried their spicy tonkotsu ramen, and it was flavorful with a rich broth and soft egg. The interior is small but cute and clean. Friendly staff and fast service.

Authentic and large portions. Just what we needed to satisfy our ramen craving. This place boils their broth for a minimum of 24 hours. The atmosphere is comfortable with plenty of seating and nice music playing. Thank you.

Came here today after a co-worker recommended this place. It was four of us who came here and we were greated by a really friendly guy. He was super nice and patient with all four of us. The build your own poke was really good. Tasted fresh and had good flavor. I like the fact that they also have a breakfast and Ramen menu. I'm definitely coming back to give those a try.

Went on a Saturday mid afternoon for a late lunch. It was easy to park and I got the order right away. If you are looking for a great Tonkotsu Ramen or Poke bowl you are in the right place, it won't disappoint you. The bowl looked huge when it arrived, but 20 minutes later it was gone for good. The price is fair, great service and tasty food.

We came here because my son was craving poke after his break dancing recital and it was a pleasant surprise! He loved his poke bowl and all the variety of topping options. I got the katsu chicken bento box and it was delish — freshly made, nice portion sizes of everything. The space is nice, with cute chalkboard drawings, and a space-age-looking water dispenser. Also, the cashier/server was super nice and helpful! We'll be back!
